Mason Mount was truly tremendous against Leeds. The Chelsea star continues to flourish this season and it was one of his strongest performances this term when the Blues needed him most.
His goal was terrific. After some clever link-up play with Reece James, Mount struck the ball into the top corner, leaving Illan Meslier with absolutely no chance in the Leeds goal.
Mount didn’t score again, but he certainly continued to play his part. A delicate little flick left Pulisic with all of the space in the world and the American slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
That assist from Mount means he is the youngest ever Chelsea player to have double-digits in goals and assists in the same Premier League season. At 23-years-old, Mount breaks the record held by Juan Mata, who did it when he was 25.
